Pearls

1. Avulsion: If no Lisfranc injury the fracture is treated nonoperatively. Use a CAM boot with WBAT.
2. Crush: Weight bearing as tolerated if non-displaced, no articular step-offs and no dislocation.
3. Displaced, comminuted or if associated with other foot fractures: short leg splint with stirrup and patient should be non-weight bearing.
