Pearls

• If no Lisfranc injury the fracture is treated nonoperatively as the metatarsals are supported by a strong ligamentous complex.
• Have a high suspicion for Lisfranc injury if there was a high energy mechanism with midfoot pain, plantar ecchymosis, inability to bear weight and/or associated metatarsal base fractures.
