Pearls

• Rare isolated injury: evaluate for other associated injuries.
• Displaced fractures or fractures that disrupt the articular surface are generally treated operatively.
• Small avulsion and nondisplaced/minimally displaced fractures without comminution can be treated nonoperatively.
• CT scan can be helpful to evaluate displacement, comminution and articular involvement.
