- Occur from direct blows or repetitive trauma.
- Pisiform excision can be the treatment for displaced fractures, comminuted fractures and fractures with dysfunction of flexor carpi ulnaris.
- Lateral wrist X-ray with 20-45° of supination can help identify the injury.
