• Non-displaced fractures treated with immobilization.
• Displaced fractures generally treated surgically.

Associated with fractures of the metacarpal base of the thumb. Obtain True AP/lateral of thumb (Robert’s view) X-ray to evaluate for subluxation or dislocation of CMC

Complications

Risk for avascular necrosis.
